Baseball Zombie

A baseball-themed zombie that throws a baseball at its enemy. It has a low HP, but can deal moderate damage with its bat.

A day of baseball practice for Rabi, Miguel and Joe turns into a day of disaster when a huge stink blasts out of their town’s local meatpacking plant. They find out that the company’s toxic cattle feed is turning cows into flesh-craving monsters! And if the boys want to survive, they’ll have to take matters into their own hands.

Baseball Zombie is a zombie that can be found in the Plants vs Zombies mini-game Homerun Derby on the Nintendo DS version of the game. It lobs basketballs at the player. They can be hit to score homeruns. It has a low HP and can be killed with Sun-shrooms or Puff-shrooms. It also can be eliminated with explosives. It does not have an Almanac entry, but like Catapult Baseball Zombie, Zombie Yeti, Digger Zombie and Bungee Zombie, it can be wiped out with them.

Unlike most enemy-types, Baseball zombies have strong upper bodies that allow them to twist their torsos in combat. At a certain level of HP loss, they will hurl their baseball bats at their enemies and continue attacking while lethargic. This is a reversal of their usual behavior, where they would saunter to a close enough distance to conduct harm through lethargic smacks with their bats. This attack is an exception to the groggy attack rule that many enemy-types undergo at the same level of HP loss, such as Nick Roulette and Chainsaw Zombie.
