Baseball Vs Football

While both baseball and football are extremely popular sports, it is difficult to determine which one is more highly favored by fans. Both have their own unique charm and attract a different kind of fan.

While a regular season game of baseball may seem more low key, there is no denying that a typical football game is more of a major event on a consistent basis than a game of baseball. Football is also a more action-packed sport, and that appeals to many fans.

Whether it is a quarterback chucking it 40 yards down the field to a wide receiver or a linebacker sacking someone in the end zone, there are many amazing moments in football that hold your breath. While some of these are a result of brilliant coaching, it is hard to deny that the amount of strength, speed, and overall athleticism required to play this game is much greater than in baseball.

Baseball is a slower game and, for most people, it’s not very exciting. But, when you’re caught up in a great pennant race or a wild card situation, the stakes are higher than ever and every out seems to be more important than the last.

The game of baseball is also a lot more recognizable, with players like Dustin Pedroia and Ozzie Guillen looking like average guys walking down the street. In comparison, most NFL players are genetic freaks and it takes a special sort of physique to make it into the league. Those that do, however, have a special bond with their fans.
