Earlier this week, Baseball America released its updated Top 100 Prospects list. The rankings are behind a paywall, but the full list is available to subscribers. The rankings are based on scouting reports and player statistics.

The Seattle Mariners have dominated the Baseball America rankings over the last few years, placing five players on the list. They have been the team with the best farm system in the entire league for four straight years.

The top five teams in Baseball America’s rankings have remained the same. The Rays are the only team in the top six that has not lost a player from their farm system.

The Boston Red Sox jumped 10 spots to a ranking of 11 overall, with the SF Giants dropping 10 spots to a ranking of 29. The Braves slid from sixth to 22. The Rays remained in second place after Wander Franco graduated from college and moved onto the majors.

The top four prospects give the Cardinals reason to be excited. In 2022, Gunnar Henderson, Emerson Hancock, Gabriel Moreno, and Diego Cartaya will all have the chance to make their MLB debuts.

The Dodgers have been on the list for four straight years, and they appear to be on the verge of maintaining their momentum into the minors into 2017. The Dodgers have a number of elite prospects, including Jose De Leon, Julio Urias, and Nick Lodolo.

The Cardinals also have players on the list that are not in the top 10 such as Keibert Ruiz, Diego Cartaya, and Alex Verdugo.
